Design Solution

The floor plan was designed with safety & flexibility in mind. The space is hallmarked by subtle wayfinding methods, such as changes in flooring, to direct people through the various spaces. The lending library and reception spaces are located adjacent to the staff spaces to provide ease of access to the main work stations for employees. The various user interactive spaces such as the think tank, the classroom and the workshop are all located close together to allow members to move between spaces based on their needs with ease.

These elevations depict spaces designed for member use. The workshop wall is lined with tools and storage, the lending library has lockable storage and display walls, and the classroom is set up for easy clean up and presentation. The feature wall behind the reception desk is made of recycled chip board and includes an illuminated branding sign.
